The weekly Oricon charts have just been revealed. The sales are disappointing, considering that many important artists had released a new CD this week..

With 75,456 copies sold of WILD/Dr., Namie Amuro ranks #1 in the single charts, but the single sold less than 60s70s80s last year; however the single's promotion was only based on CMs with the two songs... Anyways, Namie beats her own record, and becomes the first artist who has ranked inside the top 10 with a single for 15 years in a row. By the way, this week, BEST FICTION's sales finally exceeded 1,5 million copies sold. The other releases of the week did not do very well, since the rest of the top 3 is made up of old releases: Yuusuke (Shuuchishin) who still did great this week, and Arashi.

This week, the album releases were very interesting. Dreams Come True eventually ranks #1 with their new album coupled with a best album selling 213,496 copies in 5 days (the CD came out later than the other CDs). This is a good achievement, but we expected them to do better. BoA's best album coupled with her first American album only sold 81,627 copies, ranking #2 only just ahead of REMIOROMEN 's best album, which was released last week. HYDE is only #4 with low sales of 60,100 copies sold. b]UTADA[/b] is #5 and adds 53,782 copies sold to her second American album's sales. UNICORN rank #6 with their best album, RADWIMPS is #8 and [i]JUDY AND MARY 15th Anniversary Tribute Album[i] does quite well with 31,468 copies sold. Shunsuke Kiyokiba's best album is #14, m-flo's is #19. And KOKIA's new album is #51 with 3,149 copies sold.
