    It is the end of a trial which fascinated the media and which doubtessly put the biggest Japanese producer ever in cold sweat.

    Tetsuya Komuro will not go to jail, unless there is a second offence. The prosecutors had asked for a 5 years' jail sentence, but there will eventually be only a 3-year' jail suspended sentence for 5 years.

    TK's lawyers have succeeded: they had asked for the sentence to become a suspended sentence, reminding everyone that the artist had already made it up to the plaintiffs by paying back 600 million yens. They had also mentionned his huge contribution to the musical industry, and had a petition of 6.000 signatures of fans with accounts of music professionals, all intervening on TK's behalf.

    In a communiqué published on his blog, avex president Max Matsuura (who had advanced the money to pay back the plaintiffs to Komuro) reasserted his support to the producer, hoping that he will become again the author of hit songs that he used to be, as quickly as possible.
