CD Shop Taishou: discover the Japanese record dealers' favourites

A few months ago, we wrote about the CD Shop Taishou concept, a music award ceremony, which was held for the very first time this year. The results have been revealed!.

First of all, let's remember the CD Shop Taishou principle: bored because their discoveries are not in the list of award winners, record dealers from all over Japan decided to get together into an association, and to create their own awards, called CD Shop Taishou. These awards are supposed to highlight (indistinctively indies or major) albums which did not necessarily get media publicity matching their qualities.

A first selection of 29 albums was revealed in January. It was reduced to 10 semifinalists, among whom three finalists, one of them being the winner, were chosen.
