Kusanagi nude scandal: much ado about nothing
As expected, after he disturbed the peace at night completely naked a few days ago, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi gets off without any judicial penalty. Consequently, the media seem to realize that they got carried away too quickly....
Considering he had no past criminal record, he has apologized and expressed regret several times since the incindent, and fans support him, the Japanese court has decided not to sue Tsuyoshi Kusanagi. This kind of cases usually do not even lead to an arrest in Japan, but the police justifies by explaining that he was resisting and refusing to get dressed because of alcohol influence.
As for his career, the situation is different. Tthe Johnny's Jimusho seems to be waiting for the frenzy to stop in order to have him back to work. However observant people seem confident: indeed the media seem to realize that they overreacted, and that he was pulled from TV and advertisements because of that. The public support should enable him to be back in people's good graces soon.
